Floyd County voters will have the option to cast early ballots in the May 22nd election over the weekend.

Advance voting will be offered this Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 4 pm both days at the local Elections Office, inside Floyd County’s Administration Building on East Fourth Avenue in downtown Rome.

Floyd County Elections Supervisor Willie Green urges voters to remember to have the proper form of photo identification when you go to vote.

Weekday advance voting continues through next Friday, May 18th from 8 am until 5 pm daily at the local elections office as well as Garden Lakes Baptist Church, located at 2200 Redmond Circle.  A third advance location will open at the Rome Civic Center next week.

Republicans and Democrats will chose their respective parties’ candidates for state posts in the primary. In Floyd County, the race for Superior Court judge will be determined in this election; candidates include Kay Ann Wetherington and Emily Matson.
