ARF – Animal Rescue Foundation of Rome/Floyd County, Inc. will benefit from the “No Bonez About It” BBQ and Music Festival scheduled for this Saturday, June 24th from 11 am until 5 pm at the Rome Senior Center, located at 408 Riverside Parkway in Rome.
The festival will be highlighted by live music headlined by local outfit The Wedunit Band and the sale of barbecue plates. There will also be door prizes, a quilt raffle, a ‘Build for Animals’ sale, arts and crafts and a 50/50 raffle.
Money raised from the event will stay local and will go towards ARF’s efforts to rescue dogs and cats in need and provide them with medical care as well as forever homes, according to Aileen Randall, VP of the organization.
Karen Lyn Dobson, frontwoman of The Wedunit Band, says that there is no cover charge for the event, though she urges attendees to make a donation to ARF. And buy some barbecue! The organization will reap the proceeds from the sale of that barbecue.
The event will also be highlighted by the drawing of a winner in the raffle of a Char-Griller duo with cover gas/charcoal grill, for which tickets are being sold at Wet Petz, Sue’s Barber Shop and Peggy’s Backyard.
