The Atlanta Braves beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-1 on Sunday in the finale of a three-game set at SunTrust Park, allowing the Braves to sweep the weekend series and reach .500 for the first time since April.

Matt Kemp led the charge offensively with a three-run homer in the bottom of the third inning.

Matt Adams added a solo shot later that inning for the Braves, who now hold an even 45-45 record for the 2017 season.  Brandon Phillips contributed three doubles and drove in a pair of runs.

Jamie Garcia was the winning pitcher for Atlanta; he gave up just one run and four hits, struck out seven and walked three over seven innings.  Zack Godley took the loss for Arizona.

The Braves will welcome the defending World Champion Chicago Cubs to town tonight for the first of three games at SunTrust Park.  First pitch is set for 7:35 pm.  The game will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410.  Air time for pre-game programming is 6:20 pm.

In a minor league update, the Rome Braves took an 8-3 victory from the Delmarva Shorebirds on Sunday in the middle outing of a three-game series in Salisbury, Maryland.  The Braves will conclude their series versus the Shorebirds tonight at 7:05 pm.
