ATLANTA BRAVES NOTCH SECOND WALK-OFF WIN IN A ROW OVER MIAMI MARLINS
The Atlanta Braves edged the Miami Marlins 5-4 on Sunday in the finale of a three game set at SunTrust Park, allowing the Braves to take the series 2-1 on back-to-back walk-off wins.
Brandon Phillips delivered his second walk-off hit in less than 24 hours to drive Johan Camargo home to score the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Jim Johnson pitched a scoreless ninth to get the win in relief for Atlanta, while reliever Drew Steckenrider took the loss for Miami.
The Braves will continue their current 10-game homestand with a four-game set versus the San Francisco Giants tonight through Thursday. First pitch of tonight’s series opener is set for 7:35 pm at SunTrust Park. The game will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410. Air time is 6:20 pm.
