The Atlanta Braves notched a 4-1 win over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday night in the middle outing of a three-game set at SunTrust Park, allowing the Braves to snap a four-game losing skid at home and to even their series with the Cubs at 1-1.

Atlanta secured the victory with three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, including a tie-breaking single from Ronald Acuna Jr. that drove Ozzie Albies to home plate.

The Braves added insurance in that inning with a pair of bases-loaded walks to Tyler Flowers and Johan Camargo.

AJ Minter was credited with the win in relief for Atlanta.   Arodys Vizcaino got the save, his 8th of the season.

The Braves will wrap up their series with the Cubs tonight at 7:35 pm.  The game will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410.  Air time is 6:20 pm.

In a minor league update, the Rome Braves were off on Wednesday and will return to action this evening with the opener of a four game series against the Asheville Tourists at State Mutual Stadium; first pitch is set for 7 pm.
