Just over one and a quarter inch of rain fell at the Russell Regional Airport from Wednesday evening through early this morning due to Michael, which has now been downgraded to a Tropical Storm. Michael made landfall along the Florida panhandle as a Category 4 Hurricane on Wednesday.
Today’s local forecast calls clearing skies and high temperatures in the upper 70s. Clear skies are predicted for tonight with lows expected to dip into the upper 40s. Sunshine and autumn-like temperatures are predicted as we head into the weekend.
