The Atlanta Braves fell to the Milwaukee Brewers 7-2 on Thursday night in the opener of a four game set at Miller Park in Milwaukee, marking the third straight loss for the Braves.

Hernan Perez led the charge offensively for the Brewers with a total of three hits, including a two-run homer off Dan Winkler in the bottom of the eighth inning.

Max Fried was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up four runs and four hits, walking three and striking out one over just three innings.  Jhoulys Chacin (a former Brave) was credited with the win, and Dan Jennings picked up the save for Milwaukee.

The NL East-leading Braves will face the NL Central-leading Brewers again this evening.  First pitch is set for 8:10 pm in Milwaukee.  The game will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410; air time is 6:55 pm.

In a minor league update, the Rome Braves lost to the Asheville Tourists 2-1 on Thursday night in the middle outing of a three-game set at Asheville, NC.  The series finale is slated for tonight at 7:05 pm.
