BRAVES TO OPEN 10-GAME HOMESTAND THIS EVENING

Written by Elizabeth Davis. Posted in Sports

The Atlanta Braves were off on Thursday and will return to SunTrust Park tonight to open a ten-game homestand with an outing against the Washington Nationals.  Kevin Gausman will serve as the starting pitcher for Atlanta, and  Max Scherzer will head to the mound for DC.  First pitch is set for 7:35 pm.  The game will not be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410 as we will be covering high school football tonight.  WLAQ will rejoin the Braves Radio Network for the rest of the Braves’ three-game weekend set with the Nats.

Atlanta currently leads the National League East by seven and a half games over the Philadelphia Phillies (eight and a half over Washington).
