LARRY TAPPED TO SERVE AS HEAD BASEBALL COACH AT DARLINGTON

Matt Larry, longtime head baseball coach at Shorter University, has been tapped to serve as the new head coach for Darlington School.  He replaces Kent Harrison, who is leaving Darlington to become the athletic director for Mount Pisgah Christian School in Alpharetta.  In addition to his duties as head varsity baseball coach, Larry will also serve as assistant softball coach and ELA-8 physical education teacher.

Darlington School’s baseball team will continue their quest for a state title today as they face Wesleyan on the road in the Class AA State Championship series.  Wesleyan currently holds a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three series after picking up a 6-4 win in the opener on Saturday.  Game two is set for 1 pm this afternoon; game three (if necessary) will be played thirty minutes after the conclusion of game two.  Coverage of the series is being provided on 95.7 FM The Ridge.  You can also listen online at www.theridge957.com or by using the TuneIn app on your mobile device.

Darlington School’s baseball team is bound for the Class AA State Championship!  The Tigers will hit the road to face Wesleyan in the best-of-three series.  Game one is set for Saturday at 3 pm.  Coverage will be provided on 95.7 FM The Ridge.  Matt Davis will have the play-by-play story and will be joined in the broadcast booth by Steve Conrad.  Air time is 2:30 pm.  You can also listen to the game online at www.theridge957.com or by using the TuneIn app.

DARLINGTON BASEBALL TEAM IS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP-BOUND!

The Darlington baseball team is bound for the Class AA state championship!  The Tigers are one step closer to a state title after sweeping a double-header with Rabun County at home in the Class AA semifinals on Monday.  Darlington won the opener 5-2, thanks in large part to a grand slam from Burton Dulaney in the bottom of the fifth.  They won the nightcap by a score of 12-2 in five innings.
