If you didn’t get to see the Rome Little Theatre’s production of “9 to 5: The Musical” during its opening run last weekend, you have a few more chances to see it. The show will once again take the stage at the historic DeSoto Theatre in downtown Rome on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 pm and Sunday afternoon at 2:30 pm.
“9 to 5: The Musical” is based on the 1980 movie of the same name. It tells the story of three working women who attempt to overthrow their oppressive and egotistical boss. Hijinks ensue, according to Lillian Shaw, who portrays Doralee Rhodes (the character played by Dolly Parton in the movie).
Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for students and seniors, and $12 for children under 13 and for each individual in groups of 10 or more; they can be purchased online at www.romelittletheatre.com or by calling the RLT box office at (706) 295-7171.
A special performance of “9 to 5: The Musical” to benefit the Rome Symphony Orchestra is scheduled for tonight.
