CHANGES TO TRAFFIC PATTERN ON RIVERSIDE PARKWAY TO BE INSTITUTED TODAY

Written by Elizabeth Davis. Posted in Uncategorized

Changes to the traffic pattern on Rome’s Riverside Parkway will be instituted today, according to the Georgia Department of Transportation.  The goal is to improve traffic flow at the intersection of Riverside and Turner McCall Blvd.  As of today, the two left lanes will become left turn only lanes, the third lane from the left will continue to go straight.  In addition, the GDOT will change the traffic signals to reflect these lane changes and will add a flashing yellow yield light in the signal cycle on Turner McCall for traffic making a left turn.  A pictorial demonstration of the changes is currently available on the Rome, Georgia Facebook page.
