The Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home will benefit from the annual Low Country Boil and Barbeque event scheduled for the evening of Friday, August 4th at the Rome Civic Center.
Doors open for the event at 7 pm with an open bar and appetizers. An all-you-can-eat buffet of low country boil and barbeque provided by Two Can Do Catering will be served at 7:45 pm.
Heather Shores, the museum’s Executive Director, anticipates an evening of food and fun that will also be highlighted by live and silent auctions.
Tickets for this year’s Low Country Boil and Barbeque are $75 per individual with tables available at a cost of $600 for eight and $750 for 10.
Portions of each ticket sale are tax-deductible. Shores indicates that the proceeds from the event, sponsored by the Friends of Chieftains Museum, will go towards the museum’s operating costs and educational programs, as well as maintenance of its grounds and gardens.
