CITY COMMISSION APPROVES DOWNTOWN PARKING PLAN

The Rome City Commission has approved a new parking plan proposed by the Downtown Development Authority.  The plan establishes a fee for spots on Broad Street and renders the downtown parking decks free of charge.  It was approved by a vote of 5-4 by City Commissioners and is likely to take effect in January, reports this morning’s Rome News-Tribune.
