Written by Elizabeth Davis. Posted in Sports

The Rome High School football team will defend their state title this Friday; as such, classes have been cancelled for the Rome City School system.  That day has been designated by system officials as a ‘field trip day’.

Rome High’s Wolves will face Warner Robbins in the GHSA Class 5A State Football Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.  Tip off is set for 4:30 pm.  Tickets will be available today through Thursday from noon to 2 pm at Barron Stadium at a cost of $22 each; they may also be purchased at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on game day at the same price.

Rome High School football apparel will also be on sale at Barron Stadium today from 5 pm until 7 pm.
