COLLEGE HOOPS: GEORGIA TECH MEN FALL TO CLEMSON ON THE ROAD, GHC SWEEPS AT ALBANY TECH

Georgia Tech was defeated by Clemson 72-60 in men’s college basketball on Wednesday night at Clemson, South Carolina.

Marcquise Reed notched a game-high 30 points to lift the Tigers to their first ACC victory of the season.  The Yellow Jackets were led in scoring by James Banks with 16 points. 

The Jackets have now fallen to 10-7 overall and 2-2 in conference play.  They will return to their home court at the McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta on Saturday to face ACC rival Louisville.  Tip off is slated for 4 pm; the game will be broadcast on 95.7 FM The Ridge. 

Georgia Highlands College’s men’s and women’s basketball teams picked up a pair of conference victories at Albany Tech on Wednesday night.  The Lady Chargers won the opener 81-63, while the Chargers emerged victorious in the nightcap by a final score of 97-91.
