Georgia Tech fell to ACC rival Miami 70-61 in men’s basketball on Wednesday night in Coral Gables, Florida.

Davon Reed led all players in scoring with 21 points for the Hurricanes.  Josh Okogie scored 18 points for the Yellow Jackets, who are now 15-11 overall, 6-7 in conference play and 2-8 on the road.  Ben Lammers had 15 points for Georgia Tech.

The Jackets will return to their home court at the McCamish Pavilion on the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta on Sunday evening to host Syracuse.  The ACC outing is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm and will be broadcast on 95.7 FM The Ridge.

Alabama edged Missouri 57-54 in an SEC men’s basketball match in Columbia, Missouri on Wednesday night.

Dazon Ingram led the charge with 18 points for the Crimson Tide, which improved to 15-10 overall and 8-5 in their conference.  He also had nine rebounds.

The Tide will be back on their home court in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to face SEC rival LSU on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 pm (Eastern).  The game will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410.

In other college basketball news, Georgia Highlands College picked up a pair of GCAA victories at Atlanta Metro College on Wednesday night.  The Lady Chargers won the opener 64-57, while the Chargers were victorious by a final score of 100-67 in the night cap.
