The Coosa River Basin Initiative will honor its 2018 Greenie Award winners with a special event on Thursday, April 19th that will be held in the Dark Side of the Moon event space in downtown Rome.  Festivities are scheduled to get underway at 6 pm.

Jesse Demonbreun-Chapman, CRBI Executive Director, states that Greenie Awards are intended to honor organizations for their efforts to protect natural resources in the upper Coosa River basin.  The honorees for 2018 include the following:  Paragon Wool Products, Chatsworth Water Works Commission, Forsyth County Parks and Recreation, Georgia-Alabama Land Trust, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of Dalton and Rome.

Tickets to the Greenie Awards ceremony are $35 each or $30 each for two or more and are available online at In addition to the ceremony, those in attendance will enjoy heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks as well as live music from The Connection Band featuring Hardy Sams.
