CRBI’S BUSY SUMMER TO CULMINATE WITH RIVER REVELRY ON AUGUST 26TH

Summer 2017 has proved to be entertaining and active for the Coosa River Basin Initiative.  The Rome-based non-profit has hosted (and continues to host) a plethora of events to raise money and awareness towards its mission of creating a cleaner and healthier Coosa River basin.

Jesse Demonbreun-Chapman, CRBI’s Executive Director, enthuses that there is no shortage of opportunities for the public to get involved with his organization.  He encourages locals to participate in the River Dog Micro Marathon on July 29th, one of many events that are being held this summer as part of SweetWater Brewing Company’s Save the Coosa initiative. And start training now for the grueling .0420 race from the front door of River Dog Paddle Company to River Dog Outpost in downtown Rome!

Also, save the date for Saturday, August 26th!  The CRBI’s annual River Revelry:  A Biodiversity Bash is scheduled for that evening at Heritage Park.  The event is promoted as the “best end-of-the-summer party on the planet” and will feature live and silent auctions, a Barbecue Battle, boat rides, beverages and a lip sync competition.

Details about all upcoming events of the Coosa River Basin Initiative are available online at www.coosa.org.  Demonbreun-Chapman asks all supporters to ‘like’ the organization on Facebook.
