There is one member of the Atlanta Braves that saw some action on the field on Thursday night.  Dansby Swanson was in Rome for a minor league rehab assignment with the low Class A Braves.  The shortstop went 2-for-4 in the local club’s 1-0 victory over the Asheville Tourists.

Swanson has been on the disabled list since May 4th with inflammation of his left wrist.  He said that he ‘felt great’ after Thursday night’s game.

Swanson added that this was not his first visit to Rome; he is well acquainted with the area as he has family in Adairsville.

A number of fans took advantage of the opportunity to get an autograph from Swanson just before the game.

The Rome Braves will continue their series with the Tourists tonight at 7 pm at State Mutual Stadium.
