Early voting begins today and continues over the next three weeks for the November 7th election.

Registered voters may cast their ballots in advance at the Floyd County Elections Office, located inside the county’s Administration Building on East Fourth Avenue, or at Garden Lakes Baptist Church, 2200 Redmond Circle, each weekday from 8 am until 5 pm through November 3rd.  A third polling location will be open at the Rome Civic Center from Monday, October 30th through Friday, November 3rd.

Saturday and Sunday voting will be offered at the Elections Office on October 28th and 29th from 9 am until 4 pm both days.

Voters will determine the fate of a proposed $63.8 million special purpose local option sales tax (or SPLOST), as well as an $80 million education local option sales tax.  Three posts on the Rome City Commission are up for a vote, along with all seven seats on the city school board.  Cave Spring voters will fill three posts on their city council.

Polls will be open on Election Day from 7 am until 7 pm.
