The Rome-Floyd Recycling Center will host an Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, July 21st. Items will be accepted at the current center, located in north Rome at 405 Watters Street, from 9 am until 1 pm. Locals are urged to bring their computers, along with peripheral equipment, and televisions so as to keep them out of the landfill, this according to Michael Skeen, Director of Floyd County Public Works. Other items that are typically accepted include copy machines, printers, car batteries, recorders and cameras. Appointments are required and can be made by calling the center at (706) 291-5266 through Friday, July 20th at 5 pm.
