FLOOD WATCH EXTENDED THROUGH SATURDAY

Written by Elizabeth Davis. Posted in Uncategorized

The Flood Watch issued in the area by the National Weather Service has been extended through Saturday morning at 7 am.  Soil remains saturated and river levels are high around Northwest Georgia.

A number of roads have been closed, and others have signage to indicate high waters.  Floyd County Public Works director Michael Skeen states that Silver Hill Road is still closed; it was closed on Monday due to a mudslide.
