This Friday, February 16th is the last day to purchase tickets and RSVP to the Rome-Floyd Sports Hall of Fame Banquet, scheduled for February 26th at the Krannert Center on the campus of Berry College.
The slate of inductees for 2018 includes: Eric Floyd for Professional Athlete, Will Muschamp for both Lifetime Achievement and Amateur Athlete, Nae Nae Daniels Saxton for Amateur Athlete and Jamane Spivey for Professional Athlete.
In addition to the induction, 12 area student athletes will be recognized for their achievements; two will be awarded the John Pinson Jr. Outstanding Student Athlete Scholarship.
The banquet will commence with a social and silent auction at 6 pm, which will be followed by a seated dinner and awards ceremony at 6:30 pm.
Kevin Cowling, director of Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation, says that he’s impressed with the level of talent exhibited by area athletes and eagerly looks forward to celebrating their accomplishments.
Tickets for the Rome-Floyd Sports Hall of Fame Banquet are $30 and may be purchased in person at the Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation Administrative Headquarters, located at 1 Shorter Avenue.
