GEORGIA TECH FALLS TO CLEMSON IN ACC MEN’S HOOPS; GHC LADY CHARGERS PICK UP CONFERENCE WIN AT HOME

Georgia Tech lost to Clemson 65-42 in ACC men’s basketball on Wednesday night at the McCamish Pavilion in Atlanta; it was the fourth consecutive loss for the Yellow Jackets. 

James Banks led the Jackets in scoring with 13 points; he also notched eight rebounds and a career-high seven blocked shots.  Brandon Alston contributed 11 points. 

Marquise Reed led all players in scoring with 19 points for the Tigers. 

The Jackets have fallen to 11-12 overall and 3-7 in conference play.  They’ll return to action this Sunday on the road versus Notre Dame; the ACC outing is slated to begin at 6 pm and will be broadcast on 95.7 FM The Ridge.

In other college basketball news, Georgia Highlands College’s Lady Chargers picked up a 65-59 conference victory at home over Central Georgia Tech on Wednesday night.  Five GHC players scored into the double digits; they were led by Jahnarria Brown, Ciara Thompson and Jessica Eadsforth-Yates as each notched 14 points.
