It appears that Haven Health Clinic for Women (formerly the Pregnancy Center of Rome) is adjusting quite nicely to a name change, as well as a new director.  The clinic officially became Haven Health back in November, about six months after Larisa Heyward became its Executive Director.

Heyward, who succeeded longtime director Yvonne Miller in May 2016, says that the former Pregnancy Center has made the conversion to a medical clinic.  Thus, Haven Health is able to provide medical services to women of Rome and Floyd County, in addition to ultrasound.

Many women who visit the clinic are dealing with an unexpected pregnancy.  Heyward attests that she and her staff are there to help and offer alternatives to abortion.

Pam Tebow, mother of famed athlete Tim Tebow, was the guest of honor for a ribbon cutting ceremony held to commemorate the name change to Haven Health back in November.  Heyward enthuses that Mrs. Tebow is slated to return to Rome to serve as the guest speaker for the annual Friends for Life fundraising banquet in September.
