HAWKS FALL TO KNICKS, WHO END 18-GAME LOSING STREAK

The Atlanta Hawks fell to the New York Knicks 106-91 in a Valentines Day affair at the State Farm Arena on Thursday evening.  It marked the end of an 18-game losing streak for the Knicks, a franchise-worst. 

Dewayne Dedmon scored a game-high 21 points for the Hawks.  Trae Young had a double-double with 16 points and 11 assists. 

Dennis Smith Jr. notched a team-high 19 points for the Knicks, who had not previously won a game since January 4th

Thursday night’s outing was the Hawks’ last before the NBA All-Star break; they will resume their current seven-game homestand next Friday, February 22nd with a match against the Detroit Pistons.
