The Atlanta Hawks fell to the Toronto Raptors 119-101 on Thursday night at State Farm Arena, ending a two-game winning streak for the Hawks.
Pascal Siakam and Fred VanVleet each attained career highs with 33 and 30 points, respectively, to lead the charge for the Raptors, who were shorthanded by four players due to a pair of deals before the trade deadline. One of those deals resulted in the acquisition of Marc Gasol from the Memphis Grizzlies. All-Star Kawhi Leonard was given a night to rest.
Trae Young and Taurean Prince led Atlanta in scoring with 19 points apiece. John Collins contributed 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Dewayne Dedmon added 10 points. The Hawks led at halftime, but were unable to overcome a second-half surge by the Raptors.
The Hawks will continue their current seven-game homestand with a match against the Charlotte Hornets this Saturday night at 7:30 pm.
