High temperatures for the Greater Rome area are expected to be in the 70s throughout this week, according to the National Weather Service.
Patchy drizzle and fog this morning will give way to mostly cloudy skies as we head into the afternoon. Highs will be around 74 today.
Tuesday’s high could reach 78, besting the record of 75 set in 1922.
Clouds will continue to hover in the skies around the area all week; a chance for showers and thunderstorms increases as the week progresses. Lows in the overnight hours will hover in the upper 50s to low 60s.
