The Cave Spring Downtown Development Authority is encouraging history buffs from around the area to explore Cave Spring. The community, founded in 1832, has much to offer those who wish to learn about the past.
Sandra Lindsey, DDA Director, indicates that 24 sites in Cave Spring are now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Tours of historic facilities in Cave Spring were offered on Sunday as part of the Georgia Historical Society’s Super Museum Sunday. Sites featured on the tour included Cave Spring’s Welcome Center and Museum, the Cherokee Log Cabin, Hearn Academy and the Fairview School.
