This week marks the first full week of classes for students in the Rome City School system, who began their new school year last Friday.
Lou Byars, RCS Superintendent, says that school system officials are doing their part to keep kids safe in school-zone traffic during these first few days of the new school year and beyond.
Byars adds that an air of excitement about the new school year currently fills the halls of Rome City Schools. He indicates that teachers and administrators will do their part this year to ensure that all students are provided with a safe learning environment.
The Floyd County School system is also in the midst of their first full week of classes, as are St. Mary’s School as well as Berry College Elementary and Middle Schools. The 2018-2019 school year is slated to begin on August 13th for Unity Christian School and on August 20th for Darlington School.
