The Rome chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness will hold their annual meeting and recognition dinner on Monday, February 26th from 6 pm until 7:30 pm at First United Methodist Church in downtown Rome.
Bonnie Moore, co-leader of NAMI Rome, says that the event is being held to honor those who have supported the organization by leading support groups, co-chairing fundraising walks and serving in other capacities. NAMI leaders will also take a look at the year 2017 in review.
NAMI Rome offers a wealth of resources to those impacted by mental illness as well as their loved ones. Moore states that those offerings include Peer-to-Peer support groups and Family-to-Family classes.
Moore adds that her organization is exploring new fundraising options for the year 2018, perhaps as an alternative to the NAMI Walks held in recent years. She says that those wishing to get involved with NAMI Rome can learn more online at www.namiromega.org or by calling (706) 506-5010.
