The Atlanta Braves closed out a seven game road trip with a 6-5 victory over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL on Monday; the match was intended to make up for a rainout on April 15th.  It was the third win in a row for the Braves, who finished their road trip 6-1.

Ozzie Albies, Tyler Flowers and Jose Bautista each hit home runs for Atlanta.  Bautista’s three-run shot, the Braves’ biggest hit of the day, came in the top of the fifth inning.

Julio Teheran was credited with the win after surrendering four runs and four hits, walking three and striking out one in six innings. AJ Minter got the save, his second of the season.

The National League-leading Braves will play host to the Cubs this evening at SunTrust Park in the opener of a three game set (and a six game homestand for Atlanta).  The game is scheduled to begin at 7:35 pm.  It will be broadcast on WLAQ AM 1410.  Air time is 6:20 pm.

In a minor league update, the Rome Braves fell to the Hickory Crawdads by a final score of 2-1 on Monday night at Hickory, NC.  The teams will conclude their four game set this morning at 10:30 am.
