RAIN DESCENDS UPON GREATER ROME

Written by Elizabeth Davis. Posted in News & Weather

The Greater Rome area’s extended break from the rain ended on Monday, and rain remains in the forecast into next week.

A 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms has been predicted for our area for today by the National Weather Service.  The rainfall has certainly led to cooler temperatures; today’s high is expected to top out in the mid 80s.

Just over three and a quarter inches of rain was reported from early Monday  through early this morning at the Russell Regional Airport.
