The 2018 Rome Area Prayer Breakfast will be held on the National Day of Prayer, Thursday, May 3rd, at the Forum River Center in downtown Rome. The event, which is open to the community, will begin at 7 am; doors will open at 6:30 am.
This year’s breakfast will be highlighted by a return visit from Pastor Wally Magdangal, who was the guest speaker for the 2014 Prayer Breakfast. The speaker will once again share his story of God’s protection amid persecution in Saudi Arabia. He will also give an update on what’s happened in his life since his last visit to Rome four years ago, according to Donna Chadwick, event promoter.
Also at the breakfast, Dr. Bill Flannagan will be presented the Hugh Burnes Christian Service Award. The meal will be provided by Chic-Fil-A.
Complimentary tickets are available at Bert Brooks Tire, Chic-Fil-A Dwarf House, Dogwood Books, Doug’s Deli Downtown, Duffy’s Deli, the Haven Health Clinic, sweetFrog, Winslette Pharmacy and Christian Counseling and Education Ministries. April 26th is the last day to get tickets.
Free parking will be offered at the 3rd Avenue parking deck, compliments of Redmond Regional Medical Center.
