ROME CITY COMMISSIONERS APPROVE DOWNTOWN SMOKING ORDINANCE

The Rome City Commission voted 7-2 in support of a smoking ordinance for downtown Rome on Monday night.  This ban prohibits smoking and vaping on outdoor public property along Broad Street to include the Town Green and parking decks. It does not apply to businesses that declare, via the appropriate signage, to be smoking environments. 

The new ordinance is slated to take effect on April 1st
