ROME CITY COMMISSIONERS SET CURFEW FOR THOSE UNDER 17

Written by Elizabeth Davis. Posted in News & Weather

The Rome City Commission earlier this week approved a curfew for those under the age of 17.

An ordinance was approved by Commissioners on Monday night which calls for anyone age 16 and younger to be at home between the hours of 11 pm and 5 am unless accompanied by an adult or coming home from work and church  activities.  The measure passed by a vote of 6-2.

A first violation will result in a warning; further violations will lead to a visit to municipal court.
