Communities in Schools of Rome-Floyd County is offering to the public an opportunity to support local education and potentially win one of three prize packages valued at $480-$575.

Tickets remain on sale for the Summer “Sun/Shine Party” Raffle, from which proceeds will back CIS programs and services offered to both the Rome City and Floyd County school systems.  Gregory Wooten, Executive Director, says that the organization’s primary focus is its mentoring program.  The goal is to help students accomplish great things after high school.

Raffle tickets cost $10 for one or $20 for three and will be sold through the end of the month.  The drawing will be held on Friday, June 2nd with the winners to be notified on Monday, June 5th.

And now – here are the prize packages:

“Sun” Drawing (a $480 value) – $100 Kroger gift card, a four-burner grill from Wal-Mart, his and hers ACE Hardware Yeti cups, four box-level Rome Braves tickets.

“Shine” Drawing (a $575 value) – a 1.75 carat aquamarine gemstone and a $100 gift certificate for mounting from Greene’s Jewelers.

“Party” Drawing (a $500 value) – a free four hour event rental, courtesy of Fincher Springs Farm Wedding and Event Venue.

Tickets may be purchased in a variety of locations; those include the CIS office at 519 Broad Street (Suite 200) and Greene’s Jewelers in downtown Rome, Allstar Motors in Rockmart, Owens Florist in Calhoun and Vase Floral Expressions in Cedartown.
