IT’S TIME FOR FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS

Written by Elizabeth Davis. Posted in High School Sports, Sports

Friday night lights are set to shine tonight for a handful of area high school football teams as they take the field for week seven of the 2016 season.  Floyd County high schools, along with a number of other area teams, have the night off for Fall Break.

WLAQ AM 1410 is your home for Darlington football and will have all the action as the Tigers host North Cobb Christian in a Region 6-A match-up tonight.  Kick off is set for 7:30 pm at Chris Hunter Stadium on the Darlington campus.  Steve Conrad will serve as the play by play announcer, and Tommy Manning will provide color commentary.  The duo will go on air shortly before kick-off.  The game will also air online at www.wlaq1410.com.

There will be no broadcast of the Northwest Georgia High School Football Game of the Week on 95.7 FM The Ridge this week.

Our night of high school football action will begin on WLAQ with This Week In Northwest Georgia Football, brought to you by Riverside Auto Group.com, at 6 pm.  And be sure to tune into 95.7 FM The Ridge after tonight’s games for scores from around the region during the High School Football Scoreboard Show, brought to you by Rome Orthopaedic Center.

In other games on tap for tonight –

Hiram at Rome

Adairsville at Calhoun
