The time is drawing near for the 2017 Wings Over North Georgia air show! This year’s air show will be held next Saturday and Sunday, October 21st and 22nd at Rome’s Russell Regional Airport and will be headlined by the United States Navy’s Blue Angels.
John Cowman, President of JLC Airshow Management, says that the Blue Angels’ advance pilot will arrive in Rome next Wednesday for safety checks. The entire team is expected to be here next Thursday.
And it’s gonna get loud when the Blue Angels come to town, enthuses Cowman, who anticipates record attendance at the 2017 air show.
Wings Over North Georgia will serve as a homecoming for several of the Blue Angels that hail from the Peach State, adds Cowman.
The 6th annual Wings Over North Georgia air show will also feature the C-17 Globemaster III Demo Team, seven-time world aerobatic champion Rob Holland, Georgia native Buck Roetman of Wild Horse Aviation and the Smoke N Thunder jet car show.
