Spring time will be a great time to get out and be a tourist in your hometown! Kristi Kent, communications director for the Greater Rome Convention and Visitors Bureau, enthuses that unique tours are available to locals and visitors who wish to learn more about the community.  Offerings include Georgia’s Rome Flavor Tours on the second Saturday of each month as well as Guided Walking Tours of Downtown Rome every first Saturday.  Specialty tours are also offered by the GRCVB upon request.

Kent also urges the public to enter photos of Georgia’s Rome into the 2018 Photo and Video Exhibition.  Entries will be accepted through April 8th. More information is available online at

Selected photos and videos will be showcased at Farrell’s Frame and Design during National Travel & Tourism Week in May.

And mark your calendars for Saturday, April 7th and Sunday, April 8th!  Those are the dates of the 2018 Spring Art Market.  The indoor/outdoor market will be held at the Rome Civic Center.
