Keep your umbrella handy as a wet week is forecast for Greater Rome.  The National Weather Service anticipates multiple rounds of rain through Sunday, with at least two and up to eight inches possible by the end of the week.  This will increase the threat of flooding.

A slight chance of showers this morning will give way to partly sunny skies as the day progresses with a high temperature in the mid 50s.

Just under an inch and a half of rain fell at Rome’s Russell Regional Airport from early Sunday morning through early this morning.
