WINGS OVER NORTH GEORGIA, FIDDLIN FEST TO ROUND OUT FLURRY OF EVENTS THIS WEEKEND

Written by Elizabeth Davis. Posted in News & Weather

You most definitely won’t have any grounds on which to complain that there’s nothing to do in Rome, Georgia this weekend.

The 7th annual Wings Over North Georgia airshow and the 3rd annual Fiddlin’ Fest Between the Rivers are set for this weekend.  The former will take place at the Russell Regional Airport on Saturday and Sunday, while the latter will be held in downtown Rome on Saturday.

Kristi Kent, Director of Communications for the Greater Rome Convention and Visitors Bureau, encourages Romans to partake in both events.

Kent adds that the air show draws a lot of attendees and provides a significant economic shot in the arm to the community, while Fiddlin’ Fest offers family fun, free of charge, to Romans as well as visitors.

Tickets and more information about the 2018 air show are available online at www.wingsovernorthgeorgia.com.  Learn more about Fiddlin’ Fest Between the Rivers at www.fiddlinfest.com.  Get a listing of other upcoming events in Rome and Floyd County on the GRCVB website at www.romegeorgia.org.
